Interest or financing charge
Identify whether pricing is an annual interest rate, factor, discount, fixed fee, or another method. These figures are not automatically comparable.

Rates and fees
Business loan pricing can include interest, factor or discount charges, origination fees, closing costs, servicing fees, and prepayment terms. Compare the net amount received, total repayment, and payment schedule before accepting.
Cost components
Different products present pricing differently. Normalize every option into cash received, total dollars repaid, payment timing, and contractual risk.

Review origination, closing, draw, maintenance, guarantee, appraisal, legal, servicing, late, renewal, and other charges that may apply.
Daily, weekly, or monthly payments can create different cash-flow pressure. Amortization, maturity, and balloon provisions also affect the result.

Comparison worksheet
When a provider does not present an APR, ask for enough information to calculate total cost and understand the time value and payment burden.
